Prior to Applying - all Parties need to write a Letter of Inquiry to the Norman Arts Council. Please send to: Leslie@normanarts.org 

Eligibility:

· Norman-based 501(c)(3) or fiscally sponsored group

· Primary mission or programming in the arts/humanities

· Projects/programming must take place in Norman and be publicly accessible

· Can not apply if the entity has received the NAC Hotel/Motel “General Funding Grants”.

This grant supports small Norman-based arts and cultural organizations. Funds may be used for either:

· General operating Support

· Organizational development activities (such as training, consultation, planning)

· Programming

This grant provides limited, flexible funding for small Norman-based arts and cultural organizations. Norman based is defined as programing happening in Norman. Funds may be used for general operations (e.g. staffing, supplies, program costs) or for organizational development such as management training, strategic planning, or technology upgrades or for an arts program presented in Norman. Only one application per fiscal year (NAC's fiscal year starts July 1).

We highly encourage that a representative from the organization attend a Roundtable meeting.

Grant Amount:

· Maximum award up to $5,000 per organization based on funding availability. 

· No match required

Allowable Uses:

· Artistic fees, admin/staff time

· Marketing/publicity

· Organizational development and training

· Materials and supplies

Not Allowed:

· Regranting funds

· Activities outside of Norman

· Fund-raising events

· Programs not accessible to the general public

· Programs performed in direct conjunction with a religious service

· Grants to pay existing debts or for the purchase of capital improvements

Funding Limits: This grant may be requested up to $5,000. A single organization may only make one request per NAC's fiscal year (Starts July 1).

Matching Requirement: There is no matching requirement for the CARY grant.

Deadline: N/A

Notification: The Norman Arts Council Grants Committee will review within 30 days. Notification and Contract will be emailed to applicant upon final decision of the committee.

Award Disbursement: Upon receipt of signed contract within 30 days.

Final Report: Due within 30 days of the expenditure of the grant. Organizations may not apply for this NAC grant opportunity until the Final Report is accepted.

In addition to completing the online application and proposal narrative, applications will be required to upload the following support materials:

· Budget

· 501(c) (3) exemption letter

· Current organization bylaws

· Current list of Board members

· Copy of current Secretary of State Charitable Organization Registration Certificate
